It is with great pleasure that we welcome one of the world’s largest airlines, Air France, as a new member of the Foundation for Corporate Social Responsibility. We will present Air France’s General Manager David Garcia with our Foundation’s Gold Seal of Approval as a Socially Responsible Company at our Foundation’s 7th Annual Dinner Dance on February 14th at the Warsaw Hilton Hotel and Conference Center. Air France is the world’s third largest airline for international passenger transportation, and it is ranked 4th for international freight transportation. A partnership agreement signed in September 2003 between Air France and KLM gave rise to the first European air transport group in 2004. It comprises a holding company and two airlines, which preserved their own brand names and identities. We encourage all of you to support our new member company Air France just as we do with all of our Foundation Member Companies. Air France operates 4 daily flights from Warsaw to Paris. It’s hard to believe that our Foundation’s seventh Annual Dinner Dance, “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” is just a short 3-weeks away. All 62 tables with 10 seats each have been sold out for months to Foundation members and friends and we expect to host 620 guests in the Grand Ball Room of the Warsaw Hilton Hotel and Convention Center on Valentines Day Monday, February 14th. Festivities get underway at 18:30 with cocktails, followed by an incredible musical production by our PromiseKids. An award-winning five-star Hilton dinner will delight our guests and prepare them for an exciting evening of dancing, to the music of the “best band in the land,” 36.6. Did I mention that all beer and wine will be provided this year by Foundation Member Company Grupa Zywiec?
Now, we need your help! We wrote to all table-holders this week asking for the names of their invited guests. Please, get the names of your table guests to Natalie as soon as possible at FCSR@chasey.ipgate.pl. We have a stand-by list of guests that we need to seat, and we will be sure that every seat in the ballroom will be filled. Please let Natalie know if you have any empty seats at your table so we can be sure every chair is occupied when the curtain rises on February 14th. Our Dinner Dance is an after-work affair and the dress is business attire. It is not a black-tie event!

Just like clockwork, KFC conducts a yearly Leadership University for approximately 200 of its top regional executives. This year’s event was held last week in the beach community of Kolobrzeg, and KFC leaders from Poland, Russia, Hungry, Czech Republic etc., gathered to discuss brand strategy for the upcoming year.
High on the KFC list of priorities for 2011 is Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and to “kick” the year off properly, KFC invited our PromiseKids to perform some of their musical numbers for the KFC Leadership conference.
There is no doubt why KFC has been so successful in this region of the world. Success is all about leadership, and Leadership is all about passion and discipline, key elements of the KFC Mission Statement. It is so rewarding to know that each KFC Leadership University executive is committed to the financial bottom line, while at the same time being committed to the quality of life of the children they help us feed in our Foundation’s Hot-Meal program. We are so proud that KFC provides 1% of their profits to our Hot-Meal Program.
We are pleased to announce that our great member company Makro Cash & Carry collected enough money from their special Christmas collection to feed 10,000 Hot-meals to our PromiseKids. The campaign was held in all 28 Makro Cash & Carry Stores from December 7th to December 21st. Makro General Manager for Poland, Uwe Hoelzer, said: “We are committed to the Foundation’s Hot-Meal Program, and it was our pleasure to support the PromiseKids with this two-week campaign for the 4th year in a row.” Makro provides a similar "Back to School" campaign each August.
Makro Cash & Carry is a member of the 3rd largest retail group in the world, the Metro Group, and is a wholesaler offering a food and non-food product mix to its registered card-holding customers in a national network of Makro stores in Poland.
