IT’S OFFICIAL; HILTON DINNER DANCE RAISES 100,000 PLN FOR OUR HOT MEAL ACCOUNT

Hilton GM Remco Norden (photo above) and I signed the official accounting documents on Thursday and substantiated that our FCSR netted approximately 100,000 PLN from our 7th Annual Dinner Dance held last February. That translates into 30,000 hot-meals for our PromiseKids, and will keep them fed for 10 school days. Now, as the man said, that’s a WOW!

Hilton provided all expenses for the Dinner Dance, including all meals and rooms for our 50 PromiseKids and chaperones for 3 days, Grand Ballroom, Dinner Dance dinners for over 600 members and guests. You name it, they provided it! With all of the major expenses paid for, we were able to use all the income from our table sales for minor expenses and feeding our 3000 PromiseKids for 10 days.

Hilton has agreed to do the same thing next year for our 8th Annual Dinner Dance to be held in February. As soon as we have the date confirmed, we will let you know. You’ll have plenty of time to prepare for this special event.

We thank you Remco, and we thank everyone associated with the Warsaw Hilton Hotel.

AIR FRANCE TO PROVIDE INTERNATIONAL AIRLINE TICKETS FOR OUR 2 REAGAN FELLOWS!

It was with great pleasure that we introduced our 2011 Reagan Legacy Scholars, Andrzej Mikulko and Marcin Raulin, to our Foundation members last week. They were selected from a pool of former PromiseKids who had participated in our Foundation’s Interactive English Program “Dreams Come True.” The criteria for selection was formative and Andrzej and Marcin were selected from the rigorous competition. I also promised that I would have a special announcement in this week’s newsletter.

Well, here it is…

David Garcia, GM of Air France (Photo center) confirmed to me this week that Air France will provide two International roundtrip airline tickets for Andrzej and Marcin when they venture from their small Brzezno Village in the PromiseLand to the United States in August.

All expenses for Andrzej and Marcin while in the U.S. are borne by the Reagan Legacy Foundation. Our Foundation is responsible for transportation while the two boys are in Poland, and for their flights to and from the U.S. If you would like to help these super kids, we still need money for airline tickets from Washington, DC to Chicago and on to LA.

Keep in mind that Andrzej and Marcin are very poor and will need our help with the following items:

For each young man:

1 Coat/Jacket
1 Blazer
6 Shirts – t-shirts, polo shirts
1 Dress shirt and tie
1 Pair of jeans
1 Pair of Khakis
2 Pair of shorts
1 Pair of sweat pants
1 Belt
1 Bathing suit
6 Pairs of socks and underwear
1 Pair of pajamas
1 Pair of dress shoes
1 Pair of sandals
1 Pair of sneakers
1 Camera and charger
1 Umbrella
1 English dictionary
1 Luggage with name tags
1 Spending money
1 Travel Insurance

Maybe you or your company would like to support one or both of the boys for the trip by providing the above items? Think about it. If you would like to send money to help, send your “Tour” transfer to our account:
