“PR News understands that corporate social responsibility is an essential building block of an organization’s annual business plan. CSR enhances reputation and builds positive bridges to communities, customers and the public at large—and in doing so, affects the bottom line.”…….

We are told that the Netherland-Polish Chamber of Commerce still has room for our Foundation Members and guests for tonight’s Rijsttafel Dinner/Ball at the Warsaw Hilton. So, just give them a call and they will make all the arrangements. Remember, the Chamber will be selling raffle tickets to attendees for lovely prizes, and the proceeds of the auction will be contributed to our Foundation’s Hot-Meal Program. See details below:
I couldn’t be more proud of our PromiseLand staff and friends this time of year. True, they work hard all year helping make life better for our PromiseKids, but with our 8th Annual Dinner Dance edging closer each day, they re-double their efforts to please. The photos below show our own Arts Director Basia Kolasinska working with our Foundation seamstress extraordinaire and friend Monika Ciszewska, as they prepare the costumes for our February 13th Gala event to be held at the Warsaw Hilton Hotel.
As those of you who have attended our Annual Dinner Dance in the past can attest, our ladies are unequaled in their sewing skills. You can be sure that this year’s costumes will be professionally done every stitch of the way.
Letters will be going out this week reminding our Foundation’s CEOs that this year we have reserved tables for our member companies. We will hold these tables for you unless we hear otherwise. We have selected just the right date for this very special event and can see no conflicts with holidays or Polish "Ski Weeks. The best news… table prices haven’t changed in 8 years, 2,400 PLN for 10 people.
Just a reminder that we have applied to become a Public Benefit Organization (OPP) under Polish Tax Law. We expect to be approved in the next few weeks. The Public Benefit and Volunteer Work Act provides an opportunity for our members and friends to donate 1% of their personal income tax to support the work of our Foundation in feeding, educating and empowering poor children in Poland.
Since it is almost time to file annual personal income tax returns in Poland, we would like to remind our readers that all Polish taxpayers can donate 1% of their tax burden to a public benefit organization. The Public Benefit Act is based on the premise that instead of paying the Revenue Office you can support our PromiseKids. We encourage all of you to make your 1% tax pledge to our Foundation for Corporate Social Responsibility and to encourage your family, friends and employees to do the same. Remember, 4 PLN ($1.30) provides one hot meal for one Hungry PromiseKid.
