Meg and Basia tell me the excitement level in the PromiseLand Schools is reaching a feverish pitch. The volume of “buzz” and “chit chat” in the halls increases daily as the date for our Foundation’s 10th Anniversary Dinner Dance draws near. It’s hard to imagine that only one week remains before we “pop” the first champagne cork and invite over 500 of our Foundation’s members and guests into the elegant Grand Ballroom of the Warsaw Hilton Hotel and Convention Center on January 21st.
Much still has to be done before our joyous traveling party from the PromiseLand departs for Warsaw. Rehearsals will continue until the very last minute, costumes still need stitching, banners must be painted, and lyrics must be memorized. Meg and Basia will be devoting full-time to final preparations for January 21st.
This is your last chance to confirm your company table and to send Natalie the names of the 10 guests who will be seated at your table. We don’t issue formal invitations and need these names to be sure everyone finds his or her designated seats.
This will be a good week for all of our members and guests to make sure they are prepared as well. Make sure you all have invited your 10 table guests. Remind them that this is not a formal affair; business attire will do just fine. The events of the evening will begin with cocktails at 1830, followed by the show of all shows, “Keeping our Promise – 10 Years,” presented by the PromiseKids Singers and Dancers. A 5-star gourmet dinner, as only the Hilton can prepare, will delight our palates, as will the dancing to the best band in the land, 36.6 until 23:00. Good night sweetheart, la la la.
We are very honored to have Grand Cru S.A., a long-time Foundation Member, provide the wine and champagne for our 10th Anniversary Dinner Dance on January 21st. Founded by Peter Pulawski, a Dane with Polish and Swedish backbround, Grand Cru has been operating the dobrewina.pl wine network in Poland since 2001.
"Cała pryjemność po Twojej stronie - The pleasure is on your side" - is the motto of dobrewina.pl.
Grand Cru always strives to maintain a perfect balance between the quality of the wine and its price. Starting from its first small shop in Ursynów, the dobrewina.pl network currently has 26 stores throughout the country including a large web-shop.
Since the beginning, dobrewina.pl has specialized in servicing corporate accounts. “We are members of several international chambers of commerce allowing us constantly to be up to date when it comes to the requirements posed by multinational corporations for deals on gift sets.”
Peter PulawskiGrand Cru creates a profiled offer for every customer. Selected wines and delicatessen items from France and Spain, such as olives, olive oil, pates, jams and foie gras - are nicely packed in wood or cardboard boxes, with logos and greetings attached.
Dobrewina.pl has been the operator of our Foundation’s Wine Club since 2009.
Everyone who joins this wine club receives a 20% discount on all dobrewina.pl stores including e-store on www.kupdobrewina.pl From every purchase made by Foundation members, Grand Cru donates 5% for Foundation for Corporate Social Responsibility.
We thank you Peter Pulawski and Grand Cru for this wonderful contribution to our 10th Anniversary Dinner Dance. I personally hope all of our members and guests take time on Monday evening to stop by and say “Hi” to Peter. I suggest you get to know him and be sure to join our Foundation’s Wine Club.
Over the past 10 years, we’ve tried our best to provide life-enhancing experiences for our PromiseKids. We have looked for experiences that normally wouldn’t be available to them in their homes, schools and communities. This year we hit the “Jack Pot.” We took 20 contestants from the Miss Polonia Contest on a “cooking” trip to the PromiseLand to prepare meals for the PromiseKids. We selected the Oparzno School, and a most exciting day was had by all.
Pictures show so much more than words, so we have included a short catalogue of photos that will give you all a warm place in your hearts.
Our Dollar a Day program may be just what you have been looking for and the PayPal method of delivering your money makes it so easy. We pay just about $1.00 to feed one hungry Polish child a hot-meal per school day, $20.00 per month, $200.00 per year. Click PayPal below to contribute.
