This will be the last newsletter until schools resumes classes on September 2, 2013. This is the time of year for summer holidays, and we always give our FCSR staff time during the month of July to relax and enjoy their families. The office will be on a summer schedule in July, and back in full operation in August.
We wish you all a most pleasant summer and look forward to the 2013-14 school year beginning in September.
No one can ever question the fact that KFC has a love affair going with our PromiseKids. In addition to being our Foundation’s biggest contributor, the KFC executive staff always manages to provide very special life-experiences for our kids. Today is no exception!
Ten of KFC’s senior staff members will travel to PromiseSchool Nowe Worowo to give the kids 2 summertime days they will always remember. The team is headed by KFC President Olgierd Danielewicz who will be ably assisted by KFC Brand Manager Anna Bednarska. Please take a look at what these great folks have in store for our PromiseKids
June 24th - Barbecue at the Nowe Worowo School
The KFC team arrives at the Nowe Worowo School to spend relaxed time with the kids. They have planned many activities like playing football, other outside sports, and a super barbecue, as only KFC can provide. We extend a special thanks to Member company Fanex who is providing delicious dips, ketchup and mustard for the barbecue.

We're pleased to announce the winners of our “Dreams Come True” Interactive English Training Program for 2013. Two-hundred-fifty PromiseKids participated in the program this year, and the kids in the photos below are the best of the best. This program couldn’t have happened without the financial support of the following sponsors who provided licenses for the kids:
Randstad Polska - 120 licenses
Rabobank - 57 licenses
Craig Boothe - 14 licenses
Jeroen van der Toolen - 14 licenses
Chris Barrow - 10 licenses
John Treuge - 10 licenses
Adam Kozłowski - 2 licenses
Ann Coolman - 2 licenses
Bruce Robinson - 2 licenses
We also want to thank the following people for providing prizes for the English students: General Manager of Makro Szczecin - Ryszard Malec, and the General Manager of Makro Koszalin - Beata Krzyżanowska.
We thank our own “Dreams Come True” Director, Meg Ciucka and the group of teachers and support staff she assembled to help her this school year. Let me venture to say that you will be hearing a lot more English coming from our PromiseKids in the future. We congratulate all of our students enrolled in our “Dreams Come True” program. We especially want to congratulate the winners of this year’s English program.
Since we are not a part of the Polish school curriculum, our English students do their studies at school before or after classes. They did a remarkable job under such hardship.
We are pleased that the Netherlands - Polish Chamber of Commerce has once again chosen our Foundation to be the raffle recipient at the Dutch Chamber’s Rijsttafel on September 14, 2013. The black-tie extravaganza will be held at the Warsaw Hilton Hotel. We encourage all of our members and friends to contact the Chamber for reservations. We thank you.
