Colgate-Palmolive never forgets our PromiseKids, especially just before the Christmas season. Tomorrow (Tuesday) our PromiseKids will get 4 Euro pallets of special surprises that will last our kids and their families throughout their holiday celebrations. How can we thank you enough Wojciech Krol, CEO of Colgate-Palmolive!
The personal care supplies consisting of tooth brushes, toothpaste and various liquid soaps will be unpacked and distributed to each of our 10 PromiseLand schools, for distribution to all our PromiseKids and their families.
This is a special time for our PromiseKids and their families and Colgate-Palmolive has made life so much better for these poor folks in our PromiseLand. We thank you for this generous contribution to their lives.
December 6th, Santa Claus Day, is something very special in Poland and for our PromiseKids. This is the day when Santa places special gifts under the pillows of Polish children, and the kids arise quite early in the morning in eager anticipation of their special presents.
For 24 of our Nowe Worowo PromiseKids, Santa day will hold something unusual. Our super member company KFC will be taking them to celebrate Santa Day in Szczecin, Poland and have planned a full-day of fun and excitement.
They will begin the day by attending the Multikino at the Szczecin Shopping Mall, followed by lunch at their favorite Pizza Hut. KFC and Pizza Hut are both owned by our great member company AmRest.
Word has it that the special guest for the day will be Santa Clause himself. We have it by good authority that Santa will bestow an array of wonderful Christmas gifts upon our PromiseKids.
We thank all the KFC Western District Staff for planning and attending this wonderful day with our PromiseKids.
Most of our readers don’t know that our Foundation’s Promiseland is quite a distance from Warsaw. It can take as long as 8 hours for a truck to reach our PomiseKitchen from our Warsaw office. Our terrific member company MoveOne is always at the ready to make this trip if they know that it will help our PromiseKids.
MoveOne is prepared to pick up the collected toys from the British School and Mysiadlo School on December 10th. The British school collection is being organized by the British School’s PTA, and the collection at the Mysiadlo School is being organized by Michalina Gajewski, the wife of Discipline Media’s CEO, Peter Gajewski. Michalina, a school psychologist at the Mysiadio School, has had a heart for our PromiseKids for many years and remembers our kids every Christmas...
MoveOne will then deliver the toys to the PromiseLand just before Christmas on December17th. This will be the 4th time that MoveOne has helped us with our toy transportation. They don’t know how to say know.
Our PromiseKids just love MoveOne truck driver Bartek Rajewski (Photo Above) He takes special time with the kids and they really appreciate his kindness. Thank you British and Mysiadlo Schools, and we thank you MoveOne for all you do to make life better for our PromiseKids.
One of the highlights of the Dinner Dance experience for our PromiseKids is the visit to the Multikino in Warsaw’s Zloty Terasy Shopping Center.
Our Foundation’s good friend Craig Boothe wrote and said he would once again fund this movie delight for our Dinner Dance PromiseKids in February.
We thank you Craig… you are the best!
The Polish Financial Supervision Authority (KNF) has approved Josef Wancer as the new chief executive of lender Bank Gospodarki Żywnościowej (BGŻ), the watchdog said in a statement on Tuesday.
In early September the supervisory board of BGŻ designated Mr. Wancer to the post of CEO. He was appointed acting CEO pending the KNF's approval. Between 2000 and 2010 Mr. Wancer was chief executive at another Polish lender, Bank BPH. Earlier he also worked for Raiffeisen and Citi.
We thank Josef Wancer for all he has done for our Foundation and we are very proud to have him as a Foundation Honorary Trustee.
Poland will become the most competitive country in Europe, Prime Minister Donald Tusk said while presenting his government's goals for the next two years at a party convention on Saturday. He explained that the government's plan is to invest in small Polish companies and start-ups, and to support Polish intellectual capital.
The PM said that Poland now has the chance to make a civilized leap, but one that people should benefit from. The period of infrastructure building is nearing its end, he said, and now is the time for all of us to contribute to people's well-being. Funds from the new EU budget should go to Polish families, Mr. Tusk stressed. He added that he would make sure that ministers' efforts take effect in well-paid and secure jobs for ordinary Poles. The government's plan is for Polish families, Polish children, their education, care, support for the youth when the want to build or buy homes. State offices should serve people instead of ruling over them the PM said.
