NEW FCSR EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR APPOINTED!

I believe in miracles and I think we just experienced one – I am pleased to announce that long time FCSR Advisory Council Member and supporter of the Foundation, Marta Was, has accepted the position of FCSR Executive Director, for Poland!

Marta is currently the owner and Managing Director of Altera Polska, a company specializing in the implementation and development of the sale of toys and office/school products in the Polish marketplace. She will remain in that position as she seeks to reorganize and re-energize the Foundation in Poland.

Prior to establishing her own company, Ms. Was was the Managing Director, from 2011-2014, of Primo Polska, the exclusive representative for the Faber-Castell and Graf von Faber-Castell luxury brands in Poland. Marta came to Primo Polska with a great deal of business experience, having served previously as the Managing Director of Pelikan Polska, and its line of fine stationery and writing instruments established in Germany. Over the years our PromiseKids have been the happy recipients of beautiful art and craft supplies donated by Marta and her companies!

She was born and grew up in Warsaw, receiving her Master's Degree in Marketing and Management in 2001 from Warsaw University. She is the happy mother of two children, Maciej (16) and Alicja (3). After watching her prematurely born daughter fight for survival for nearly a year, Marta admits her life was changed dramatically. Her main belief is that with faith and a positive attitude towards life, we can overcome every challenge and difficult situation, no matter the circumstances or obstacles. The idea of having faith in your dreams and hope in your future is what we can give to our Foundation children.

She has been a dedicated and active member of the Foundation since 2007. Marta has visited our schools and children and knows our programs very well. She has already been meeting with Foundation CEOs in Warsaw and Wroclaw to share our vision for the future.

I look forward to working together with Marta in continuing to serve the needs of our children in the “PromiseLand”. Welcome aboard
Marta Was!

Sincerely,

Virginia Chasey
